My hubz celebrated his birthday Jan. 11th. The boys and I woke up early to decorate the house. They really are getting into the decorating thing now and LOVE to help.
Daddy walked out of our bedroom and, like a good daddy, he acted so surprised by all the balloons, banners and cray paper. Even though we do this every birthday in our house!
(Now on a side note you all must know that my sweetheart does not necessarily 'like' mornings.....and it was 6:45 a.m. when this all happened. He really did a super good job of playing it up for the boys!)
He also had 3 birthday presents waiting for him. One from each of us. Jesse gave him a new shirt. Joseph gave him new jeans. And I gave him cowboy boots.
Yes, Cowboy boots! You heard that correctly. He has always wanted a pair but just never got any....so this year was his lucky year!
The boys then proceeded to tell their daddy that they had one more surprise for him. I sat there thinking in my head, "what surprise do they have that I don't know about?" Well, they said, "tomorrow we are going to take you to the Wow Zone for your birthday!" Ha. Jes and I thought that was quite funny. They really know their dad well to give him such a surprise - not sure who that was for more - them or dad?
So we went to the Wow Zone. Ate lunch, played games and then as the finale we played laser tag. We even got Grandpa and Uncle Luke to play with us.
And surprise, surprise mom and dad paid the bill - wink.
And then in the evening we had the privilege of hanging out with these fine folks and had many more laughs!
I think my hubz would say that his birthday was a LOT of fun!
