Chirstmas is a magical time of year for me. Who can resist a good old fashion Minnesota Christmas, ya know what I mean? Oh it is magical. And selecting the perfect tree is just the beginning, but, it sets the stage for the entire season.
My entire life we have picked out our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. I remember as kids we would pile into Dad's truck and take off to Little's Tree Farm to cut our very own tree. There were elves walking around with santa hats on, apple cider to be drank and candy canes given to everyone. There was a spirit in the air that made everyone smile.
Well that tradition has been adopted by my children now and our little family. We still go to the same tree farm and cut down our very own tree.............that is until this year. You see, last year was a sad, sad year. Little's Tree Farm celebrated their final year and this year (2012) we had to find a new tradition. So we decided to give Drummer's a try.
All the trees are pre-cut BUT they do have them hanging from the ceiling so a customer can exam the entire tree to ensure it is the perfect tree for your Christmas season.
And they did have a playground that the boys thought was pretty cool so that was a bonus.
And they had popcorn and coffee.
So all in all it was a nice experience...................however I have some "suggestions" for them to improve upon next year such as possible playing Christmas music, staff wearing santa hats, and maybe some apple cider for the kids. But hey...who am I to say such a thing.
