Support

On Sunday, Oct. 21st I am running a Half Marathon.  I have a rush of emotions running through me.

Anxiety
Excitment
Fear
Courage
Pride

I work with people all day (I am the director of an assisted living).  Most of them are the beautifully aged (also known as the elderly).  They inspire me.  They made me a good luck sign because they care about me.  I had a tear that ran down my cheek when they presented it to me yesterday.  The route of the race runs directly past where I work and all of my friends that live there and they will be outside cheering me on.  I will be sure to wave back and thank them for their support!

That's the cool thing about working where I work.  People care.  I not only help support the people I serve everyday in my job but they also help support me as a person.  Every day you can make an impact in someone's life - and you don't have to work with the beautifully aged to do this.  You can do this in your own lives as well in what ever your walk of life brings you.

Support someone.  Offer them a smile.  Give them your ear for 2 minutes.  I bet you make an impact in someone's life.

I know that my beautifully aged friends have made an impact in mine.
