A Happy 5 Years!

It's our anniversary today.  We have been married for 5 happy years.

Have I ever told you how we met?  It is sort of funny.

We met through a friend.  Our mutual friend (Jeremy) was a bartender, as was I, and as was Jes.  It is tradition in Mankato to go out for "breakfast" at 3 in the morning after we got done working.  Jes and Jeremy worked together and somehow I was invited along.  Multiple bartenders would just show up at Ember's and we'd eat together.  I sat next to Jes at the table.  I didn't know who he was until this night.  I would love to tell you that I knew he was " the one" at first sight but truth be told that wasn't how it played out.  Let's just say he didn't impress me much (might have something to do with the fact that he wasn't working that night but instead was out having a lot of fun which maybe didn't present his best side...cough...drunk).

No worries though, the next time I was around him I noticed his handsome qualities quite quickly.  Almost immediately.  And this time I am happy to say he was a gentleman that definately caught my eye.  We were both at a birthday party and I didn't know many people - if  anyone except the birthday girl.  And being that I am shy and uncomfortable in situations like this I sat there very quietly by myself.  That is until we noticed each other.  And the polite man that Jes is, he noticed me and came over to say hi.  I remember being gitty and smily and I remember the excitement that fluttered within me.  I thought to myself, "A man that is actually nice AND sexy!!"  Now that doesn't always come in one package if you know what I mean.

Well long story short it was love from then on with one slight interruption but overall it was the kind of love that takes your breath away kind of love.  The kind of love that keeps getting stronger and stronger each day and with each passing year.

I love you Jesse J. Cornish.

Always & Forever.
