Cheating

So I know I am cheating with this blog but I was looking at my sister's blog and she has the cutest pictures posted of my son and her daugther riding around in Jesse and Joey's little Power Wheels Mustag! I thought everyone should see these pictures so click here http://themaleceks.blogspot.com/ and see the cuties!!

Now I have to share how we acquired my sons first car.

My dad called me up one Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. to tell me he saw this Power Wheels motorcyle for sale at a garage sale for $20!! So I hurry up and get the boys ready because of course of all the days for my hubby to work the day shift it had to be that day. So the boys and I make it up to the garage sale in North Mankato by 8:15 - pretty good time if I do say so myself!! Well by the time I got there it was sold already :( I was so sad as my heart was already set on this cute toy for my boys. I knew they would LOVE it.

I was so bummed, so, to cheer myself up I thought I would go shopping! Well normally if I want to go shopping (to cheer myself up) it would be at the mall, however I had the two kiddies with me so I decided Wal-Mart would work for this particular morning. As we were looking around getting a few groceries, diapers, ect I decided maybe the boys and I should check out the Power Wheels at Wal-Mart, knowing that I shouldn't spend that kind of money. As always, Wal-Mart never lets us down and has the perfect Power Wheels for my boys - a Bright Red, Convertible Mustag!!!! Just like Grandma's except for her's is green. I looked at the price and about fell over in sticker shock. I was about ready to walk away and for some compelling reason I stopped the sales woman walking by and just said, "We'll take this one!"

So we get it home and of course it comes in a box - all in pieces. The boys and I worked on it all morning and by the time they got up from nap it was ready to go.... and go is exactly what we did all day and everyday since! They absolutly love the "Stang" as we call it. My hubby was not quite on the same page as me at first (of course sticker shock) but now as the weeks have passed he sees and loves the enjoyment it brings to our boys!

So I guess when it comes right down to it I just have to say....Thanks Dad for waking me up to go to a garage sale!!

  1. What kind of deal is this? When do I get to cheat back? You better get some posting done. You are falling behind again. How about a picture of the new boat?
