Sickness on Christmas

On Sunday the Sohre family Christmas was held at my parents house.  My brother and his fiance are home from Washington D.C., Terri and her family came from Redwood Falls and my other two sisters and their families and us all gathered together.

We all LOVE Christmas.

My mom has makes it 'EXTRA' special every year.  I think it is her favorite day of the year.  She is one of the most generous people I know and an inspiration to me as the gifts she gives are always very well thought out.  I love watching her face as someone opens their present that she gives them.  She just lights up.

Well this year had a twist to it.  The party went off without a hitch as normal, however, the days after have made this a Christmas to Remember unfortunately.  See 14 our of the 24 of us contracted the stomach flu.  It was a fairly quick bug (24 hours) but still not something that anyone wants to do on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

So as for all of us, we all stayed in our own homes, laid low and watched a lot of movies.

I will never forget the Christmas of 2012.

Below is a picture of a project that Jesse and I did today while Joe-Bear slept off the sickness.  So....there were some bright sides to the day I guess!

outhathem.
