Weekend trip to Lake Pepin

This past week Jes and I had a week off together with the boys. Randomly my sister and her husband Ted planned a weekend trip to Lake Pepin and we decided to tag along. It was a lot of fun. We stayed in Wabasha, MN (home to one of my FAVORITE movies "Grumpy Old Men"). There are a ton of pictures...couldn't decide which ones to leave out so I just put them all up there. Ted and Christy
Me at Slippery's (from the movie!) We kept rubbing it in to my brother (in D.C.) that we were here and he wasn't. This is a family classic of ours. Between Darrin, myself and our brother-in-law Jason we probably have the movie memorized word for word!

The sailboats on the lake were beautiful

Jes and my Dad - the boys thought it was really cool that Papa slept in our hotel room with us!

Much to my surprise the boys both took naps in the boat each day

The men and the kids went for a hike on the sand and down this big hill

We made sand castles

We went to the National Eagle Center....very cool. I'd suggest it for anyone

The Eagle Family

There were 5 rescued Eagles living here

Our favorite resturant...kind of a dive but a lot of fun! My sweetheart
